Marmon Utility Employees “Stepped Up In A Big Way”
Madison Carpenter and JOsh landry Ensure delivery despite storm
We are proud to highlight Marmon Utility employees Madison Carpenter and Josh Landry. When a snowstorm wiped out power for nearly 500,000 Maine residents and there were no shipping options available, they took initiative and thought outside the box to find a way to hand-deliver insulators.
“Avangrid-CMP had a large weeklong storm impacting 75% of our customers. As we needed immediate assistance on insulators, Hendrix stepped up in a big way over the weekend. When no shipping Companies were available, Hendrix rented a U-Haul and had two employees drive 4+ hours each way to deliver in under 24hours on the weekend of Christmas. Really appreciate the effort and support of Hendrix in our Storm Restoration!”

Renewable energy helps transform 100sq kilometer island
The Saona Island Project- Dominican Republic
The Saona Island is currently running 100% off of renewable energy thanks to a plant started up recently which offers a continuous electric supply to one of the most touristic places in the Dominican Republic. Until now they lived without electricity or drinking water.
The Bayahibe Electricity Company (CEB) is the architect of the development and commissioning of the Saona Power Plant, which now makes it the first and only island of the hemisphere with 100% of renewable energy.
This will significantly improve the quality of the more than 600 residents of Saona, as well as its economy. Unitl now, the lack of energy in businesses and restaurants were only allowed a maximum of four hours for the million tourists who visit every year.
